Council Committees
- Oversee and manage the administration and staging of the exams
- Participate on Formal Review Panel (appeals) for examinations when required
- Quarterly report on individuals and institutions practicing with valid licensures
- Set and finalize set principles and guidelines for examination policy
- Review and manage applicants/appeals (persons) wishing to be registered and licensed to practice
- Develop and actualize the Continuous Professional Development program, for license renewal among others (CPD Guidelines & Clinical Protocols Finalization, Physiopedia Plus).
- Consider and present necessary amendments to the Physiotherapist Act and later to the Regulations
- Automate Examinations, Registration and Licensing processes
- Monitor and analyze various presenting trends and advice the Council
- Analyze the facilities inspected for follow up on to the previous recommendations made
- Map out pending facilities to be inspected and action the inspection Country wide
- Finalize development of Health facility checklist and Essential list of Physiotherapy Equipment
- Quarterly report on individuals and institutions practicing without valid licensures
- Review and manage applicants/appeals (institutions) wishing to be registered and licensed to practice
- Develop and actualize the Indexing, Internship and Clinical Instructorship program (Student & Internship logbooks, Clinical Instructor Manual).
- Consider regulating the physical based clinical interventions widely practiced outside the country and slowly gaining entrance in the Country
- Consider and present necessary amendments to the Physiotherapist Act and later to the Regulations
- Monitor and analyze various presenting trends and advice the Council
- Ensure compliance to statutory and legal requirements
- Develop and present timely mitigation measures for individuals and institutions that are practicing without valid licenses.
- Coordinate with the Head of Secretariat to ensure timely and accurate safe storage of financial records, examination bank while tracking the Council’s inventory as well
- Ensure Quality controls on Council’s documents and processes
- Consider and present necessary amendments to the Physiotherapist Act and later to the Regulations
- Monitor and analyze various presenting trends and advice the Council
- Improve turnaround time in governance and stewardship
- Promote professional understanding to the students, stakeholders and regional leadership
- Finalize and launch all pending/drafts policies and guidelines
- Finalize amendments to the Physiotherapist Act 2014 for presentation to the National Assembly
- Initiate budget making process for the operational activities
- Identify opportunities, plan and coordinate for Council capacity building
- Identify and tap into other opportunities and channels to resource mobilize
- Coordinate with the Head of Secretariat to ensure timely documentation and accurate maintenance of financial records
- Conduct on behalf of the council disciplinary inquiries, acts of professional negligence, misconduct or impropriety by physiotherapy professionals and premises
- Make recommendation to the Council as a result of any inquiry in respect of action(s) to be taken, fines or penalties to be imposed in accordance with the Act
- Review any procedure, processes relating to professional practice with the aim of making recommendations to the Council on improvements to be made or new procedures to be adopted to enhance professional accountability and quality of service by physiotherapists
- Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by the Council geared towards implementing the mandate of the Council

- Visualize the dream of a PCK Innovation and Research Centre
- Develop the legal and operational framework for the project.
- Plan and budget for the project.
- Mobilize resources
- Supervise establishment of the centre.
- Submit quarterly progress reports to the full Council
